Aquaculture in WA & beyond
The aquaculture industry is a major economic engine of Washington state and helps support the seafood supply chain around the entire country. As commercial fishermen, we’re proud to support the hardworking shellfish and seaweed farmers that make their living on our nation’s working waterfronts.

- Two University of Washington biologists believe they have found a nontoxic method to control burrowing ghost shrimp. This is an update to our May Aqua Bites issue.
- Congrats to the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon! This beloved local haunt in Lilliwaup, WA just made it onto the NYT annual Top 50 Restaurants list (paywall). If you’re not up to speed on this place, then hightail it to the Outlaw Oyster’s (of Milwaukee, WI) social media to view their ongoing feature “Sh*t You Didn’t Know About Oysters Pt. 11” which features, none other than… you guessed it — Hama Hama.
