There are plenty of conversations to be had about the future of seafood and fisheries these days. So how about we meet up for three(-plus) days of morning-to-night face-to-face opportunities and get caught up?
We’ve compiled some of our favorite things to see and do at Seafood Expo North America (a.k.a. The Boston Seafood Show), in addition to making time for our amazing friends and colleagues. We’d be missing many of the opportunities Boston has to offer if we didn’t focus on new connections, especially with people outside of our typical spheres of influence.

What’s on your 2025 Boston Bingo Card?
If you’ve played SAGE’s Boston Bingo, you’ll have plenty of fun things to find on the show floor, in conference sessions and at events around the show. One of our staffers likes to give us assignments for swag to collect or themes to nab in our pics. So consider adding these to your bingo card:
- Wildest food display — everyone goes for the geoduck, but we couldn’t pass go without grabbing pics of this amazing gator centerpiece last year.
- Best Samples — I don’t eat my way around the show — sticking firmly to sources I know and usually to food that’s not fried (the AFDF Symphony of Seafood winners are a great place to start), but if I see a good-looking sample, I’m going for it.
- Best Swag (that isn’t edible!)
- Best Innovation — If you’re a tried and true seafood nerd, you walk through all of the processing equipment in the hall. But occasionally the best innovations are found on a quiet strip of aisle outside the buzz of the big machines. For example, innovative cleaning solutions that are inexpensive and safe to use for small-scale onboard processing.
- Best booth — some of the vendors get really creative with their office space and display opportunities. Find your favorite booth and tell us why you loved it! (Great games, comfy couches, extra squishy carpet to give your walking feet a load off?)
